Ball pools handmade by MeowBaby

Our tips for the perfect ball pool
Buying a ball pool often raises questions. We’ll help you find the right one!
The size of the ball pool depends on your child’s age and the available space. A diameter of 90-100 cm is ideal for babies. Larger models offer more room for play. Pay attention to the height of the sides to ensure safe play.
Round or square? Round ball pools look cozy and are flexible. Square ones fit well in corners and offer a clear structure.
The number of balls depends on the size of the ball pool; usually, 200-300 balls are sufficient. Choose a color that suits you! Our balls are non-toxic and safe.
The covers of our ball pools are generally machine washable. Simply wipe the balls with a damp cloth. This keeps everything hygienically clean.

The right ball pool height for your child
The height of a ball pool plays an important role in your child’s safety and enjoyment. Here are our recommendations:
For younger children who can already crawl and pull themselves up, ball pools approximately 30 cm high are ideal. This height allows children from 9 months of age to enter and exit the pool safely. They can support themselves in the pool and explore the balls without overly high sides restricting their movement.
If your child is more confident and needs greater support, a 40 cm high ball pool will be more suitable. These are ideal for children from 18 months of age (1.5 years). The higher sides provide greater safety and stability when your child is standing or playing in the ball pool. They also help keep the balls in place, even during more energetic play.
Frequently asked questions
For babies from 9 months of age, ball pools approximately 30 cm high are ideal. Children can safely get in and out of them. From 18 months of age (around 1.5 years), 40 cm high ball pools are optimal, as they provide greater stability and safety for standing and active children.
A ball pool is not only a place to play; it is also great fun that supports a child’s development. It helps develop motor skills (grasping, throwing, crawling), sensory development (the sense of touch, color perception), and balance. It can also stimulate creativity and imagination.
The required quantity depends on the size of the ball pool and how full you want it to be. Generally:
Small ball pools (approximately 90-100 cm in diameter): approx. 200-300 balls
Medium-sized ball pools (approximately 120-150 cm in diameter): approx. 400-600 balls
Larger ball pools: accordingly more. The goal is for the ball pool to be well filled but not overfilled, so that the child can move freely.
Yes, our balls are BPA-free and made from a non-toxic, contaminant-free material (mainly polyethylene). They bear the CE mark, confirming that they meet European safety standards. The balls are also large enough to prevent swallowing and durable enough to provide long-lasting fun.
The size should be suitable for the available space and the number of children playing at the same time. A diameter of 90-100 cm is suitable for one or two children. The shape (round or square) depends on individual preferences and the layout of the room. Round ball pools often feel softer and more flexible, while square ones fit neatly into corners.
Our MeowBaby ball pools are handcrafted and made from high-quality, non-toxic materials. We prioritize quality, safety, and an attractive design that fits perfectly into any child's room.
Yes, you can choose the colors of the ball sets yourself, making every ball pool a unique, one-of-a-kind creation. Choose your child's favorite colors or match them perfectly to your home!
Don’t worry! The foam core of the ball pool may become slightly deformed during transport in the box. Remove the cover and gently shape the foam with your hands. Then put the cover back on - it will adjust to the new shape.
Do not wash the balls in a washing machine. Instead, simply clean them with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse them thoroughly and leave them to air-dry completely before putting them back into the ball pool.
The cover of our ball pools is removable and can be machine washed at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle with the lowest spin speed. Please follow the care instructions below carefully, as we are not responsible for any errors when washing the cover. Detailed instructions can also be found on the sewn-in label.
The ball pool is intended mainly for indoor use. If you plan to use it outdoors, make sure it is not exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods. Strong UV radiation may cause the material to fade or become damaged. Also make sure that the surface is clean and level.
To ensure hygiene and prevent stains, we recommend that children do not eat or drink in the ball pool. In the event of a spill, immediately clean the affected area by following the care instructions for the cover and balls (see sections 9 and 10)
Yes, constant adult supervision is essential when children play in the ball pool. Although our ball pools are safe and the balls are large enough, unexpected situations can always occur. Your presence ensures maximum safety and carefree fun.
The lifespan of our ball pools depends on how intensively they are used and on proper care. When our cleaning and care instructions are followed (see sections 8, 9, 10, and 11), our handmade ball pools and durable balls are designed to last for many years and can even be passed on to younger siblings.
